When talking about the development history of AOE, Mr. Fu introduced: “We were mainly doing some research and development work at the beginning. After developing outdoor flexible module products, we thought about mainly making some differentiated products. To be a supplier integrating the research and development, design, production and sales of differentiated products is our original intention.” As a new display method, LED flexible screen is different from traditional conventional LED display screens. With the characteristics of foldability and bendability, flexible and changeable LED flexible screens are becoming more and more popular in the market. At the same time, they can also be designed into different shapes such as ribbon screens, spiral screens, and scroll screens to meet the needs of personalized customization of end users. In addition, the domestic flexible screen started late, and the flexible display market still has a strong latecomer advantage.
Mr. Fu said: “Based on the market investigation, we saw that the outdoor flexible field was still a blank market at the time, so we believed that the market potential of outdoor flexible LED screens was yet to be explored, but the market demand may not be that great now, and it will gradually increase slowly. We had this idea at the time, so we chose to work in the outdoor flexible field.” Not long after the company was founded, it encountered the three-year epidemic. Like most companies, this was also a major test for AOE, but Mr. Fu and his team members remained unremitting and withstood the pressure, just to develop better products. “The development of this product really started 20 years ago. To be honest, it was quite difficult at that time. The investment was large and the projects were few, but R&D and innovation never stopped. We always believe that only by standing at the forefront of technological innovation can we break the bottleneck.”
After repeated improvements and upgrades, this outdoor flexible module product was successfully born. Mr. Fu said: “At that time, we saw that there might be similar products on the market, but heat dissipation and waterproofing were always a big problem.” After 5 revisions, AOE finally launched this new outdoor flexible module product at the Shenzhen ISLE exhibition in April this year, which was also widely recognized by peers.
Excellent product quality, just to make customers more worry-free
Maintaining excellent product quality is the cornerstone of the company’s sustainable development. Only by providing high-quality products can it be invincible in the market. A high-quality product has a longer service life and a lower maintenance rate, which can save consumers maintenance and replacement costs. For products, AOE hopes to achieve the goal of “0 maintenance”, which undoubtedly puts higher requirements on product quality. “We consider that this product is not as easy to repair as conventional modules. When a fault occurs, it can be directly repaired. The flexible module has a long maintenance cycle and a high time cost. Therefore, we must grasp the quality well to reduce its failure rate and maintenance rate to ensure long-term stable use effect.”
As the core component of outdoor special-shaped screens, the waterproof and heat dissipation functions of outdoor LED flexible modules must be extreme. AOE’s products adopt front and back waterproof technology to achieve IP65 waterproof level; in terms of heat dissipation, a double-layer louver-style heat dissipation hole design is adopted, and the back is multi-hole for heat dissipation. Regarding product development, Mr. Fu introduced: “In terms of waterproofing, we have conducted water spraying experiments again and again, and have repeatedly improved the design of the bottom shell details. In terms of heat dissipation, we have also continuously adjusted the hole positions and continuously optimized the details.”
In addition to continuously improving the process, AOE has also made great efforts in the selection of raw materials, pre-factory testing, and post-factory transportation. Mr. Fu said: “We have carefully selected the materials, especially for circuit boards, all of which are A-grade boards from big brands. After the finished product comes out, it is necessary to undergo conventional 24-hour aging. For packaging and transportation, we specially customize a full set of ring-type foam packaging according to the specifications and dimensions of the module to prevent bumps during transportation.” With its strong product strength, AOE has obtained a number of design patents and invention patents, and has participated in a number of key large-scale LED special-shaped display projects in the field of flexible special-shaped screens, including the scroll display screen of the China Cultural Exhibition Center, the curved screen of the South-to-North Water Diversion Command Center, and the special-shaped display screen of the Petroleum Building.
Professional team escort, all-round rapid response
The flexible LED screen has a variety of shapes, which increases the visual impact of the screen’s use scenarios. On the other hand, most LED flexible special-shaped screens are flying in the air and have complex structures. In engineering design, many factors need to be considered to ensure the safety and stability of the screen. In order to make such customized products, AOE has made sufficient preparations. “First of all, we have a strong technical R&D team, which can design according to the different needs of customers. For example, we have participated in a case of a leaf-shaped screen in Yibin, which is a three-sided curved special-shaped screen. Its early structure and load-bearing capacity are all designed by us. Our designers and engineers will cooperate with customers to survey and customize according to different on-site environments.” Mr. Fu said.
For different scene applications, the AOE team will make rigorous and scientific calculations to ensure the rationality of the screen design. Mr. Fu said: “We also have a professional testing center. If it involves the structure, we will issue relevant calculations to test whether the structure we designed is reasonable or not.”
In terms of after-sales, AOE hopes to provide customers with more convenient and faster maintenance methods. “We will prepare more products so that we can respond quickly and replace the products in case of emergencies.” Mr. Fu said. On the other hand, AOE’s products provide a two-year warranty, and can respond 24 hours a day in Shenzhen. In the face of the needs of customers from other places, AOE can also handle them in a timely manner.
Mr. Fu mentioned: “Some time ago, we had a project in Hebei. It happened to be a holiday that day. The customer scratched the bottom shell due to improper operation during installation, resulting in more than a dozen boards being unusable. At that time, the customer called me very urgently to ask me what to do. The screen would be used for the opening performance the next day. It happened that we did not have enough leftovers from the same batch, so we quickly transferred goods from another customer in Guangxi to him. We transferred 20 boards to him by air. The customer was able to use them smoothly before the opening and was very satisfied.” “For us, whether it is indoor or outdoor flexible special-shaped screens, we have a fast enough response speed to fully meet customers’ needs for short delivery time and low production cost. This is also our service purpose.” In future product planning, Mr. Fu told us that AOE will soon launch a new LED flexible special-shaped product.
Regarding the uniqueness of the new product, Mr. Fu introduced: “Our new product has entered the testing phase. This time we want to achieve that indoor and outdoor special-shaped displays do not need to be customized. Why do we say that customization is not required? Whether it is indoor or outdoor, as long as it is a special-shaped screen, we can meet any shape and any size, without customization, and truly achieve the goal of ‘short delivery time and low cost’.”
In addition to the new indoor and outdoor special-shaped products, AOE is also preparing for the research and development of flexible special-shaped interactive floor tile screens. At present, conventional rectangular floor tile screens are generally assembled or hemmed to meet creative display needs, but this cannot completely solve the problems of joints and flatness. The flexible LED flexible screen is more adaptable to the increasingly complex creative display needs.
